Help us make a memorable Christmas for a special local family.
November 30, 2015
As we enter the Christmas season, we are continually reminded how thankful we are and the true meaning of the season. Mt Pleasant Eye Surgeons has adopted a wonderful family for Christmas. We have been fortunate to be introduced to a wonderful local couple through the Commission of the Blind that are raising 2 of their grandchildren. The grandmother is blind from Sickle Cell complications. Without going into too much detail about their personal story, know that they are in desfinite need and are very grateful for any help we can provide to make their grandchildren's Christmas a memorable one.
We will be collecting gifts for the grandchildren at our office through December 18. The little girl will be 3 years old in April. Her grandmother is requesting flannel footed pajamas for this little girl. She wears size 3T. The little boy is almost 8. The grandmother has requested school uniform clothes-khaki or navy pants, size 8 long and powder blue collared uniform shirt in size 10/12. We pressed the grandmother to get more information about what each child likes. She is extremely grateful to receive the neccessities she requested but finally told us the little girl likes stuffed animals and the color lavender. The little boy likes Power Rangers.
If you would like to contribute to this family, please bring your unwrapped gifts to our office by December 18.
