What is your new patient procedure?

When you call to make an appointment, our friendly staff with give you the information that is needed for the day of your appointment. Please fill out the New Patient Forms on this website prior to your appointment to decrease wait time.

What type of insurance is accepted?

We accept many of the major medical insurances and we are continuing to add more. If we are not in-network with your insurance company yet, we are happy to see you using your out-of-network benefits. Call our office to inquire about your specific insurance coverage.

  • Medicare, SC Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Medicaid, and many more

I don’t have my insurance card with me, can I still receive treatment?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to see you if we do not have an updated insurance card on file. We will need to verify your insurance eligibility and the only way for us to do that is with a copy of your card.

How long will I be in the office for my appointment?

For a comprehensive eye exam, expect to be in the office for approximately 1 hour. Although timing may vary given the type of consultation provided.

Can I be seen if I do not have insurance?

Yes! We will happily see patients without insurance and will be happy to discuss our fees with you if you call the office prior to an appointment.

What is the difference between medical and vision insurance?

Do you accept vision insurance?

The only vision plan that we are in network with is Eyemed. However, we regularly offer discounts that can match the benefits of other vision plans in our optical shop. We will also provide an itemized receipt to be submitted by the patient for out of network benefits.
